What is Pythagorean Numerology?

In short, numerology studies the mystical relationship between numbers and humanity; Pythagorean Numerology is a method that many use to study that relationship. Even within Pythagorean Numerology, people come to slightly different conclusions and terms to describe and discover different aspects of life. For example, some numerologists use Angel Numbers (repeating numbers considered to have spiritual significance) in their practice, using it to assert what life advice is being given, while others may opt out of that practice. A lot of what I practice in Pythagorean Numerology can be found in the books I have linked below, however, what I use to observe life has also been built from aspects of my culture and life experiences. My intention is to provide knowledge so that people can use it as a tool to express their thoughts and make informed observations from a spiritual perspective.

Here are ways people align meaning to particular numbers in Pythagorean Numerology:

They also have letter associations:

Where can it be used? How can it be used?

It can be used in various ways, from journaling to fashion to analyzing pop culture media as I do here

Here’s a scenario to further explain how it can be used to analyze oneself:

Keisha wants to enter a new career field, she currently works as a cashier, but it doesn’t afford her enough room to be creative in the way she desires. After calculating her Life Path (major life lessons met in one’s current life cycle) and Expression (one’s general disposition towards scenarios) she notices that her Life Path is 3 and her expression is 5. Some would say that means she should place herself in scenarios where she can socialize, have the freedom to make her own decisions, and one where her talents match the opportunities afforded to her.

At this point, it would be good if she asked herself a few questions, does this answer match what I want in general for my career? What careers match what my calculations are telling me? Do those align with my values?

In the end, she may come to the conclusion that she does in fact want to be a designer, she loves the act of creating styles and starting conversations with the items she creates but she may be worried about turning her hobby into a business, to which she could possibly hire someone to handle aspects that take away her ability to just focus on the creative end of the business.

Is it real?

I first want to make the point that Pythagorean Numerology is a pseudoscience, it should not be used in a mathematics class.

That being said, pseudosciences and spiritual practices as a whole, in my opinion, are more about how they can be used to question what is and isn’t real or true for you; they are mental exercises that allow you a connection to yourself and others on a deeper level. For example, if an individual wants to consider what career fields would be best for them to enter, they can use numerology to provide those answers, and then critique them in order to conclude whether those answers connect with them and what that means.

Why use Pythagorean Numerology, why not use something else?
Because I find the process fun and it helps me, other methods can be just as fulfilling for others. However if you’re willing to try something new, and this interests you, you can calculate these key aspects here and begin to analyze your life in a mystical way using the brief guide.  Note: If you would like a personal reading from me, you can also always purchase one from the boutique but please consider exploring this yourself first and contact me here with any questions you have!
